Name those Foods

If you’re dating (or married?!) to someone of a different color, it’s pretty likely that you’ve been called some sort of food by critical members of your own race. (Why food? We sure don’t know!)

Read on for an explanation of what we mean – and email us to submit the nicknames you’ve been called, too

Banana - "Yellow" on the outside and "white" on the inside -- A non-Asian (usually white) person who acts or thinks of himself/herself as Asian.

Egg - The reverse of a Banana, an "Egg" is "white" on the outside but "yellow" on the inside. This is usually applied to Asians who act too "white".

Oreo - A black cookie with a white filling. Any African-American who acts too "white" will be accused of being an "oreo".
